Our family has been struggling since Sept 2012. When we lost our rental house due to it being sold, we moved out of state for a job. Once we got there we found out that the job was no longer available. So we had no place to live and no income. We finally found a rental, a very tiny two bedroom apartment for our family of 4 with two big dogs, for $550/month.

We had high hopes that my husband, George, would find work quickly since he has his Masters in Pyschology, but that hasn't been the case. He has had many interviews and follow ups, but each time the job is given to someone else with a bit more experience. He is also now facing a 5th surgery on his wrist, so timing is quite critical right now. If he finds a job right away we should be okay, but next month he goes to see the surgeon to find out the next steps. If he has the surgery soon, it could put him out of work for longer.

I am currently pregnant with our third child, due in Sept. I am not allowed to lift over 20lbs and am not supposed to do prolonged standing, so I am limited in what I can do as well.  We are very excited to be growing our family though, despite our current delema.

We currently get some help in the form of cash assistance ($565/month) and some food stamps ($550/month). Our rent is $550/month and we also have to pay our gas, electric, water, trash, sewer, van payment, gas for the van, and toiletries that food stamps doesn't cover. We also run out of food stamps most months because of food allergies and sensitives along with my sons SPD limits what we can purchase for food. My husband is allergic to wheat, and I am allergic to most food additives (MSG, Sucralose, etc).

For this month, I just feel like things are so critical. If we can just get through this month...maybe George will find work soon.

We have applied him to many jobs in the Cleveland area, but to drive up for an interview, I am not sure what we would do. Our van only gets 19mpg and we have a half-tank of gas left and only $19 in our checking account. We also want to attend church, and I have to get my son to his OT appointments each week and my OB appointments.

I have tried selling items, checking with local agencies for help and local churches, etc. I am hitting a brick wall - no one is able to help us. I don't have much more I can sell.

Please, if anyone can help us with a few dollars or more - it is really appreciated. Also, prayers for my husband to find the right job is also very appreciated!

Thanks!
