Help Orizontas Organization-Adopt a Guest House

The Philanthropic association "ORIZONTAS” (Horizon) was founded in Chania, Crete, Greece in 2004, with the aim and goal to provide all kinds of assistance to the families of patients, Kids, and Adults, with cancer. The families must be close to these patients while visiting the big hospitals of Athens for having Chemotherapy or any other therapy. It is also very common that these families coming from cities away form Athens and they do not have a place to stay, during the therapies, and these therapies are repetitive. ORIZONTAS offers financial support and hospitality to these people in the 7 lovely Guest Houses they have in Athens, close to 7 big Hospitals, that they are specialized in Cancer treatments. They also offer Travel tickets to the people that are not able to pay out of their own pockets the tickets to Athens, food, etc. Nowadays, after the huge economic crisis, Greece is into, along with the Pandemic, that challenges, more the Greek people, the assistance that ORIZONTAS offers is more crucial than ever.

Until today ORIZONTAS:

- Helped more than 1100 people with monthly funds to survive, while struggling with Cancer.
- They covered the expenses for more than 600 patients for surgeries or hospitalization.
- They helped with transportation and tickets more than 850 people (the tickets are offered by ANEK Lines), to come for therapies in Athens
- They have hosted more than 1600 people in their Guest Houses.
- Found for patients more than 37 compatible bone marrow donors.

We asking you to help this effort by “adopting” one of the Guest Houses, for 1 year. You can contribute to this effort by helping to get to the goal above, which is the expenses of a guest house for a year. Help these people to have a roof over their head, and support they need for this difficult trip they have to do and give a decent fight for their lives.

We have the willingness to help for all the 7 of them.

The organizer of this fundraiser, already, owner of Businessrise, Ioanna Lazarou, offered one of her books, translated in Greek, to be sold and the whole amount of the book to go to the organization ORIZONTAS. But they need more. Please lets help and give hope!
