Nyathuongweno is an organisation of farmers with much intrerest to start up poultry project to aid the community in different ways. The organization has several reasons behind setting up the project in the community.

REASONS

The main reason for the coming up with this project is to help the community in several ways e.g to ensure sufficient supply of manure to our gardens.

Ensure sufficient food supply to both farmers and community e.g eggs .

Ensure sufficient generating of income through selling of eggs produced by chickens.

BENEFITS

The project has several benefits to both farmers and community in that e.g They act as source of income to farmers when some products are sold e.g eggs.

They act as source of organic manure to our gardens and the community as a whole through their wast product hence high production in our farms.

They act as source of employment to the community interms of cleaning their rooms and feeding the chickens.

They act as source of food to both the community and farmers interms of meat and eggs when cooked .

THE NUMBERS OF CHICKENS WE REQUIRED

The number of chicken required to start this project is approximately 200 .

BUILDIND AND MATERIALS REQUIRED

1) 100 Ironsheets each one cost @ $8x100.

2) 80 roundpoles each one cost @ $2x80.

3) 2 wiremesh 4by8fts each one cost @ $8x2.

4) 6kg 5inch nails each one kg cost @ $3x6.

5) 4kg roofing nails each one cost @ $3x4.

6) 3kg 4inch nails each one cost @ $3x3.

7) 4 chickenwire each one cost @ $20x4.

8) 10 bags of cement each one cost @$8x10.

9) 40 Wheelbarrows of sand each one cost @$3x40.

10) 60 pallines each one cost @$3x60.

11) 4 rolls of chainlinks each one cost @$35x4.

12) Aroll of barbed wire cost @$60.

13) 8 sacks of sawdust cost of @$2x8.

14) 6 sacks of chicken mash 70kg each one sack cost @$25x6.

15) watering traugh cost @$5.

16) 2wooden doors each one cost @$10x2.

17) Labour cost $300.

18) 200 chickens each one cost @ $5x200.

THE TREATMENT AND DISEASE CONTROL

The chicken will require treatment after every 3weeks to ensure better and good health.

The chicken will also be treated against any undiserable disease seen to appear on them.

THE TOTAL FUNDS WE NEED IS $2850.

NYATHUON GWENO COMMUNITY PERMACULTURE PROJECT. So the main purpose of this project is to provide a space for people to work, engage through organic Sustainable farming and permaculture skills and method for individual, families, and people to learn,teach and experience in a variety of Sustainable and self sufficient living skills on Organic Sustainable Farming.And Permaculture Techniques and skills to help others who can't help themselves prosper through organic and Permaculture knowledge profit sharing, in a community that provides a more wholesome and earth friendly alternative lifestyle.To assist and encourage the application of these skills and ideas in our surrounding community and amongst our neighbors.To established anetwork of these (similar/like_minded) communities/across the country and beyond, which function as a way_stastion for people in community as well as hubs of learning and empowerment for asustanable future. To be fun, but family friendly, while adhering to a positive work ethic that acknowledge the value of our neighbors and our community as a whole. To be inclusive fair and effencient as possible while keeping a productive pace . To hold ourselves to a high standards therefore setting a good example as a community based organization in Kenya that deals with the farming program activities that's have afocusing technical, socially and economically through identification and utilization of available resources for community household benefits through poverty and illiteracy eradication, environmentally management of Permaculture and organic farming, education of the disadvantage orphans children's through vacational skills transferred eg by Way's of Permaculture and Sustainable Organic agriculture and applying simple farmings methods that can upgrade the economic status of our youthful who are in school dropout and still in school and are talented in farmings programs activities in our community. We are situated in nyathuon gweno community Permaculture project village_homabay county in the Eastern part of lake Victoria. AWARDS=To end poverty in the community. Productive=The number of people to be changed through Permaculture knowledge skills, organic farming and agriculture productive. MISSION=To end poverty, illiteracy and also create new innovative ideas of farmings technologys that can help.
