Help needed for a hearing aid

We have a heartfelt message to share with you about our dear colleague and friend, Cheryl. Cheryl has dedicated her entire life to serving the NHS as a nurse and has recently embarked on a new career as a colposcopist. Her unwavering commitment to healthcare and her local community has made a profound impact on so many lives.

Unfortunately, Cheryl is facing a challenging health issue. She has been dealing with a congenital hearing condition that has shown a tendency to deteriorate over time. Last week, she received devastating news about the extent of her hearing loss – 61% in her right ear and 50% in her left ear. This condition has not only affected her personal life but has also had a significant impact on her ability to excel in her profession.

Cheryl has been coping with the limitations of a basic, free hearing aid for many years. However, this aid is no longer sufficient to compensate for her hearing loss. It has also led to recurrent ear infections, which have required endless treatments. Wearing the aid during these infections has been an added struggle.

Furthermore, the basic hearing aid does not effectively cancel out background noise, which can become overwhelming, making it difficult for Cheryl to provide the best care to her patients. It's a challenging situation for someone who has always gone above and beyond to look after others.

She is also a loving wife and a devoted mother, always putting her family's needs before her own. Regrettably, she cannot afford the high-quality hearing aid she desperately needs.
