On 06 September, our wonderful nanny Ndumy and her family lost a portion of their family home in northern Kwa-Zulu Natal, to an electrical fire.

Job opportunities in northern Kwa-Zulu Natal are scarce, and Ndumy and her siblings have to live away from home for work. Ndumy had left her two daughters and her nieces with her mother at their family home. With her mother alone, and responsible for four children, she was unable to do anything to stop the electrical fire which started after a session of loadshedding.

Ndumy is someone who works tirelessly and brings a special kind of joy wherever she goes. We would like to do whatever we can to help her family recover from this setback.

The family has been able to source some of the materials to rebuild their kitchen, but we would love to help her with the costs of construction, furnishings, cutlery

and crockery - and of course, groceries.
