Ravini Ananthala Dharmawanse is diagnosed with relapsed/refractory Acute Myeloid Leukaemia (AML). She is currently receiving treatment at the Apeksha Cancer Treatment Hospital at Maharagama, Srilanka. She is on a new medical medication called Midostaurin (in addition to conventional chemotherapy) which is not currently available in our country (Sri Lanka) and therefore, needs to import from India.

She must undergo an Allogenic Stem Cell Transplantation from a suitable donor within the 2-3 months which will give the best chance of achieving long-term survival. This type of stem cell transplant is not available at the Apeksha Hospital at present and it needs to done at an experienced center in India.
