Hello. I'm on this website to ask for your help, for my sister Tatiane and my niece Jasmine. I'll try to be brief, buy if you want more information please contact me at [email protected]
Last year my sister, married with a child, got into one of the five top universities of my country to study nursing, which is a full-time major here. The federal universities doesn't offer part-times courses in this area so she can't opt to spend less time at classes. We all have been extremely happy with her accomplishment, because the main reason she got into the uni was the prospect of giving a better future for her daugher. But her husband didn't accept her decision to study and pursue a brighter future and after months of emotional blackmail and threats, he abandoned her and their daughter definitely last December.
Their daughter is a wonderful, smart and beautiful 5 year old child and my sister needs help to support her until justice grants her the child support.
In Brazil we have a federal system that offers low-income people the help of lawyers with judicial matters and since she fits in their criteria, they gave her the right to use their help to ask for child support. As you can imagine, the service is incredibly slower than it would be with a paid lawyer, due to huge demand. So in short, my sister still has a long road ahead until a judge determines that Jasmine's father must help her with child support and until then my sister has no conditions to support her alone. Jasmine's father doesn't even want to visit her and she misses him a lot.
Even by dropping off the university to get a job, the minimum wage for a full-time job in my country is less than USD 300 per month. No one can survive alone and maintain a child with dignity with that income.
My sister pays rent where she lives with her daughter and if she can't get any help, she'll be evicted soon. I'm already doing all I can to help her, but we don't have any more relatives to ask for help, we have nowhere else to turn to, so please, help her even with 1 dollar. Anything will help.
The only thing she needs is to be able to support her daughter until justice is served.
