Help my family leave South Africa

Hi everybody,

I’ve started this fundraiser to help my parents leave South Africa and immigrate to a safe country.

In the beginning of 2019 my father was diagnosed with cancer

My 28 year old brother was the main breadwinner since my father was no longer able to work, but my brother was murdered in July 2019.

I am currently working abroad trying to support my family but it’s just enough for the three of us (Mom, Dad and myself) to make ends meet.

Our family has gone through so much tragedy, I believe my parents deserve a new life where they can be safe and happy.

I am able to work and support myself, but I need help to get my parents away from the unbearable crime and almost non-existent public healthcare in South Africa. They are also not old enough for me to register them as dependents yet. They are in their mid to late 50’s and still able to contribute to society, so would not be a burden in their new country.

I am trying to help them immigrate to a safe country with adequate medical care. Once they are there, I can look after them, but in order to get them out of South Africa and to get legal visas/residency permits, we will need between $300,000 - $400,000.

We are currently looking at the following countries as options: Australia, New Zealand, Canada, Spain, Portugal, Uruguay.
