Help Delayne get a new heart

Hi everyone, Thank you so much for clicking on this page - just knowing that people care and are willing to send their best wishes is thanks enough. Though some of our close family members and friends may know about Delayne, there are many out there who don’t know about his journey and we would like to share and get your support in his fight: Delayne Baaitjies is my brother. An amazing person, with a kind soul and a personality as big and wide as his smile, Delayne epitomizes everything that is wonderful in our world - he is passionate teacher, an active member of the community, a keen student and avid musician. In 2014, Delayne was diagnosed with cardiomyopathy - a disease of the heart muscle that makes it harder for your heart to pump blood to the rest of your body - and has been in and out of hospital ever since. Some days are good whilst others are not so. As the condition is degenerative and deteriorating at a rapid rate, Delayne requires an urgent and immediate heart transplant. His case is all the more precarious, as the family do not have medical aid and have embarked on a public appeal for donations so that his life may be saved. Any amount is welcome and if you are not in a position to contribute financially, we would appreciate your thoughts and prayers - every bit is welcome. I know that many of you have your own difficulties and wonder if your small piece can make a difference. In the last 5 years, I have seen my brother fight back from the brink, complete his degree and show resilience and courage that is powered by the love and warmth expressed by our family, friends and even total strangers.
