Help Michelle recover from Guillain-Barre syndrome

To all my friends and colleagues PLEASE HELP my sister who is currently admitted in ICU and was recently diagnosed with Guillain-Barré Syndrome

Guillain-Barré Syndrome is a rare neurological disorder wherein a person's immune system attacks part of the peripheral nervous system which involves the brain and spinal cord.

My sister Michelle, is a 35-year-old single mother who works as an office secretary of a small company in La Union Philippines. She experienced sudden onset of weakness in her both arms and legs on Saturday, April 30, 2022. On May 1, 2022, her weakness worsens to the point that she could not move or talk anymore. Few minutes after she was brought to the hospital she started vomiting and had a cardiac arrest but was revived after 10 minutes of CPR. She was then admitted in ICU for close observation and monitoring. She went for CT scan of the brain and other diagnostic tests such as ECG, blood test, and cardiac ultrasound. However, all test results were normal.

However, on May 2, 2022, she developed Pneumonia (lung infection) which continues to worsen despite IV antibiotic treatment. She was diagnosed with Guillain-Barré syndrome on May 3, 2022 and would require IV immunoglobulin treatment for 5 days which would cost 450,000 PHP (8,600 USD) on top of her increasing hospital bill.

Currently, she is still admitted in ICU and still dependent on mechanical ventilator in order for her to breathe. Her Pneumonia is still worsening despite IV antibiotic treatment. Her numbness had already reached the right side of her face.

Please help us pray for her fast recovery. We would also appreciate any amount of financial assistance to help with her medical expenses. Any amount would be very helpful.
