Help me to discover the land of my grandparent

I am peruvian guy who is currently studying about Japanese culture and language. This passion began when I discovered some letters that my grandfather wrote in his youth, in which he depicts in detail his hometown and the surroundings in Okinawa, Japan.

Unfortunately, my grandparent passed away when I was 1 year old, so I didn´t have the chance to meet him and walk around the streets that he used to describe in letters.

That is why I would love to go to Okinawa, Japan and discover the land of my grandparent.
