Help me support my family on a healing journey

After almost 2 years of struggle, I reach out to my international community to share what my family in Ecuador (I am currently studying in Hungary) is going through because of an irresponsible driver distracted by his phone.

My dad is a loving and caring person with a strong personality, always hard working to provide his family with the best he could. My sisters and I grew up happy and confident because of the loving and supporting family we have. In April 2020 my dad was riding his motorcycle on a typical day of work (delivery service) when a distracted car driver crossed the red light and hit him. Thanks to a miracle he survived but the accident shattered his left leg, right hip, and pelvis. After a long process of 8 surgeries, countless doctors, appointments, and much love and care, we are approaching what we expect will be (hopefully) the last surgery to achieve his full recovery. COVID19 is not making this journey any easier because the health system in our country Ecuador collapsed and all the medical care had to be done at private clinics and the financial situation of our family can't handle anymore the debt left by the surgeries, tests, doctor's visits, traveling, and other medical costs that just keep adding.

With a humble and open heart, I am reaching out to my community around the world to help me support my family in this difficult but strengthening journey.
