Hi, my name is Latoya Jolly, and I am 20 years of age. I am attending school in order to pursue a career for baking and pastry. I happen to have Asperger's Syndrome, which is a mild form of Autism. As a young girl, I was put into special needs classes, but because I was more capable being independent and understanding social skills, I was put into regular classes, and was able to graduate with a standard diploma. I have a true passion for baking. I have made cakes and pastry for my family and friends and they always love it. I also love baking becuase there is more science into it than that of cooking. My family always tell that I should go to school that specializes in baking and pastry and that's what I wanted to do.
Right now, I am in my second undergraduate year at Broward College, getting my Associate's in Art in May. I am planning to transfer to Johnson & Wales University, in Rhode Island, in order to finish and recieve my Bachelor's Degree for Baking & Pastry.
However, the cost of the tuition at Johnson and Wales is a bit expensive. Not even the financial aid I'm recieving can cover the cost. And becuase of my disability, I am having a difficult time finding a job that fits me. It's not easy finding a school that has a baking/pastry major.
I really wanted to pursue my goal to become a professional baker. I wanted to be successful. I wanted to attend there so I can graduate and dedicated my life to baking to make people happy.
Therefore, I would so grateful if you can give me the assistance and I need to pursue my dream. I would happy and thankful if you would even offer me a penny.
Thank you and God Bless You.
