I'm a 22-year old multi-instrumentalist (my main instrument is guitar and also I play bass, piano, and drums) singer-songwriter from Hungary.
Going to Berklee College of Music has been one of my biggest dreams for years. I worked extremely hard to prepare for my audition, and I even recorded my first EP (to be released very soon) so that I could showcase my songwriting and arranging skills.
The hard work paid off and I got accepted with an annual $8000 scholarship. However, that would only cover a fraction of my expenses as the tuition fee and my living expenses combined would reach $32,000 by semester. Unfortunately, my family is unable to support me with a considerable amount of money, and my options to working in the US on a student visa are limited.
This is why I need your help! Every little bit counts.
Here's some info about my main project projects, past and present:
Cece & Heron: acoustic soul/blues/jazz duo formed in 2018
We have played shows at bars, ruin pubs, and cultural festivals all over the country.
I'm involved in a theater play entitled Herkules Sarok that premiered last January organized by the University of Theatre and Film Arts. I contributed to this project as a composer, arranger, guitar player, and singer.
I have collaborated with fellow musicians and contemporary poets to create unique performances by mixing the two art forms.
I recently started my solo project which will be my main focus in the near future. I have recorded a 4-song EP which I'm planning to release this April or May. All the songs were written, arranged, and co-produced by me. I sang and played all the instruments with the exception of the drums. Some of these songs were attached to my Berklee application to prove that I am suitable for my potential major (Contemporary Writing and Production).
