I don’t know where to begin…

My grandma has been admitted into the hospital due to a fall and needs surgery for her hip fracture. However, because she is not a citizen of our country, she doesn’t have insurance or government subsidies. So essentially we have to cover the full cost of the medical bills.

My mom is our sole breadwinner and while paying for me and my brother’s university tuition fees, we are barely making ends meet. She’s alone at home with my grandparents and it pains me that the most I can do is hear her tear up on the phone, as the financial load gets heavier on her.

So if you could even spare a dollar or two, it would mean the world.

Hang in there, grandma…

Paying off loans for the surgery

Update posted by Sheng Rui Khor at 05:58 pm
rrrr

Update: We managed to loan some money for the urgent surgery for my grandmother. However, I was too naive to think that after a surgery, everything will be fine. I forgot to consider the amount of money needed for rehabilitation. My grandmother has dementia so she would wake up some. . . . .
