I'm Damon, an executive-level web developer. Together with Katie, a composer from Princeton, and Eli, a Biology major at PCC transferring to CalTech in another year (that's Eli in the photo), are a real "Big Bang Theory" family living in Pasadena.
We recently lost our lease due to a challenging job transition on my part, and have to move at the end of July. I have a fantastic job lined up right here in Pasadena which starts on the 20th of this month, but we simply don't have what we need to pack, get a moving truck, and handle all of the miscellaneous expenses of moving over the short term.
This is what we could move into, with your help.
I'm not a cancer survivor. I'm not a single mother. I'm a middle-aged guy handling a very difficult life transition, but with excellent potential. I do NOT simply want a hand-out, but would prefer to trade my services for help making it here in Pasadena.
What do I do? I make web sites for businesses, the kind that require more than just a few months of experience and a basement lair filled with empty pizza boxes and a well-stocked Keurig. I make the kind that sell real estate:
Or handle e-commerce:
Or allow a whole new kind of social networking (still in progress):
I know I can make it in Pasadena. In the meantime, though, I have a stack of around $2500 worth of bills, registration costs for Eli, and packing and moving expenses, and need about $3000 more for a first month's rent. I only get my first full paycheck in the middle of August.
This isn't really the place to list my extensive skill set, but if you'd like to work something out, please reach out to me at donate "at" websparks.me .
