Hi Family and Friends,

Thank you family and friends for taking the time to read and share this.

Four years ago, when my sister Tina passed away, I became my brother KC’s caretaker. At that time, he was in a wheelchair but relatively self-sufficient. The following two years, his health declined rapidly causing him to need constant care. I had to find a job working from home so that I could care for him and pay our bills still as well.

I was offered a better job opportunity that required us to relocate to Las Vegas. However, three months after we moved there, I was laid off due to the companies cash flow issues that they were dishonest about. It took a few months to find a new job which led to us getting behind all of our bills and eventually losing my car. Once I found a new job it was unfortunately short lived; it was a position in a Covid testing center and when testing died down, all their new hires were let go.

We have filed for Disability 2 times, and KC was denied due to not having enough information from his doctors. We filed again right after KC’s health took a turn for the worst back in September when he was in the ICU for a week after a fall and was told his organs were failing and that he would have died had he not been admitted to the hospital. It is still a 6-8 months process for approval once we have everything from the doctors.

My own health is declining now as well. My vision is impaired along with rheumatoid arthritis and fibromyalgia. My unemployment and savings have been depleted, which led to our current situation. We just received an eviction notice, and my phone and our electricity were cut off.

I need to move us to Texas where both of my daughters live so that I can have help and will be able to work.

I have always been the giver, not the taker. Our situation has forced me to ask for help and that is very hard for me. I can not ask my family without putting them further into their own financial hardships we all seem to be struggling with these days. I am here asking for help because we are going to lose everything. I truly believe that if I can get us to Texas where we have a support system, I will be able to keep us afloat.

We are asking for help to raise $9000 for the cost of moving and housing.

Any and all help is greatly appreciated, even if it’s just clicking the share button.
