This is one of the most humbling experiences I've ever had to confront in life. After the loss of a job, I found myself on hard times. I thought my savings would see me through until finding another position. But it wasn't as easy as I'd imagined. With the rising cost of living, my savings didn't last long. After living pillar to post, working various contracting and temp assignments, I've been able to land another full time position and get approved for an apartment. With that being said, I now find that I'm in need of funds for moving expenses. Being able to get back up on my feet has been and continues to be a very difficult journey. But it's one that I can honestly say has humbled me to my very core. It has given me a better perspective and appreciation for certain aspects of life, like having a job to be able to take of myself. Though I've been able to reclaim my life by finding gainful employment that will allow me to handle my financial responsibilities. There's always the obstacles of upfront fees to overcome, such as higher security deposits, renters insurance, the cost of a rental truck and movers. It's the little things we tend to take for granted that are absolute key to putting the puzzle back together. And these are the very things that I'm in need of financial assistance with. As mentioned, I'm single without children. So assistance from local government agencies is not an option for me. And, unfortunately, I have no family or friends who can help with these expenses. I never knew it was so hard for a single person to get assistance, yet here I am. Therefore, any assistance provided would be greatly appreciated.
