Help me lead queer and disabled people to discover their sexuality!

As a disabled 30-something year old woman, something I've run into frequently is the assumption that people like me are asexual, that we either don't have sexual desire or are incapable of intimacy. As a queer person, there's all sorts of assumptions made about the LGBTQIA+ community, both about individual people and about various identities within the acronym.

I want to change that idea! I want to fight the stigma around sexuality and help people discover their own desire and intimacy goals. The easiest way for me to go about this will be to become a sex and intimacy coach.

The biggest barrier to providing this service to my community is two-fold. I am currently reliant on social security benefits, and therefore cannot afford the training program that will give me the necessary skills. On the client side of things, they are also dealing with similar financial situations. I want to be able to provide some clients with pro-bono or sliding scale sessions, but I'll still need enough money to cover my own expenses.

Those struggles lead me to creating this fundraiser. I feel this is a much needed service for the disabled community, I just need some help to be able to provide it. I will be obtaining my sex coaching certification through a program called Sex Coach U (www.sexcoachu.com),. The certification program is $5,500 to begin with, plus books and other necessary supplies. I will be paying $300/month for 18 months, so this fundraiser is to help with the initial 3 months, and hopefully beyond!
