Root canal & planning surgery

Hey everyone my name is Nontsikelelo, I’m a girl & turning 21 this year. I’m doing 2nd year of my studies & with no job. I only depend on my mom. My dad passed away when I was 8.

For the past fews weeks I haven’t been sleeping due to stress & anxiety . I was born with diastema, which at first made me feel so uncomfortable and it affected my self esteem.

There was a time whereby I wished to close the gap with braces so bad but I couldn’t afford them. It was in 2017 when I began to learn how to appreciate my imperfections and accept my physical appearance wholeheartedly.

2018 came & I noticed a new gap forming on my upper teeth just next to the tooth after the middle gap I was born with.

At first I didn’t give it too much attention & I ignored it. 2019 came and the new gap got wider than my natural gap.

I can’t able to wash my teeth, because the area where the new gap has been formed bleeds a lot. I can’t eat and at night when I try to sleep my teeth pains.

Also my gums on that area are permanently sore and the tooth is forcefully pulling itself out.

I can’t imagine living my life normal without my front teeth. I’m only 21 & that would completely kill the little self esteem I’m holding on and bury it for good.

I told my mom about it, she was able to give me R1200 for consultation fee. I went to see a dentist today & she ran all the tests and x-ray. She said my teeth were fine but notice something strange with the bone that holds my teeth.

The area of the bone is dark & it shouldn’t be. There’s something spreading and she couldn’t figure out what it was. She then referred me to a specialist doctor and again paid R2000 for consultation fee.

Once again the specialist referred me to a periodontist, who informed me I have periodontal disease.

I need a total amount of R20 000 to do root canal & planning in order to save my teeth & the bone.

My mom already pays for my university fees, my sibling’s school fee and all other expenses. We can’t afford the surgery hence I ran here for assistance
