Help Me Get My Grandkids Back

I have had joint custody of my 2 grandkids since 2016 with another grandma (pgma) — though it has been anything but joint; she's started abusing my granddaughter & isn't even her biological pgma. My granddaughter and I are Caucasian, pgma is African American & grandson is bi-racial; I have never had, nor will ever have any issue with this. I love them both the same & don't treat one any differently than the other. Yet she does and anyone [that she doesn't know is watching] can and have seen it. She makes over $30k + draws SS; however, she gets government assistance (free rent in Section 8, food stamps, Medicaid, free mobile phone service & free internet). She throws them off whenever & on whoever she can (except for me) so “She Don't Have to Deal with It!” The girl was getting bullied at school for 3 yrs with classmates commenting [she's not the right color for that family - she needs to go back to her own family], but pgma didn't do anything about It, although she said she handled it. I decided to enroll them in my school district, but the boy didn't want to. When I took him back & not her, she repeatedly told me to go get her & bring her back right then. I asked her, “So you want me to pull her out of school she already loves, has lots of friends (1 of whom had already made a secret handshake with), loves her teacher, is doing good [actually top of her class], just so you can take her & put her back in the school where she has no friends, gets bullied every day & is not doing well in?”, to which she replied, “YES! Now go get her & bring her back right now!” Well, what kind of parent/grandma would I be to do that? Is that what is in the child's best interest? I DON'T THINK SO! By doing this, I was named a racist in court, didn't obey court order, visitation every weekend, GAL appointed, then made me take her back (so as to be put back in that school to get bullied more), & said she wanted a report on her desk in 45 days.

Then (not positive it hadn't happened before this) she started getting abused (overdosing her on prescription meds that could have been very dangerous, burning her with cigarettes, spanking her for things she had no control over like her brother getting a haircut), would not allow her to have my phone number (throwing it away every time it was found in her possession), taking anything & everything away. She even showed the kids a shotgun, rifle & pistol, telling them she was going to kill me. DSS got involved (because the kids' therapist informed me they had reported the abuse to her & I should call DSS — this is 3 people besides myself they have told, verifying it), but nothing was ever done due to who she knows, nor would DSS give the GAL or my attorney report copies.

Fast Forward through a yr & a half to the trial (day 525, on my second lawyer, and multiple other bad situations/issues) - things from my past {before the joint custody} was brought up (although ALL parties were aware & had no issues of it before agreeing to joint custody for the first 6 yrs), I was still racist, I waste government funding, valuable resources & officer time requesting welfare checks on kids & a police escort for drop off, I shouldn’t allow them to make decisions on their lives as they're too young, charged with contempt for protecting their safety & well-being when abuse was verified, stripped of any & all custody and given only 1 weekend a mth visitation. Yet the judge gave corporal punishment back to the abuser and was not even given a stern word for her 20+ contempts (not bringing kids to my visitation time 2 times, spankings AFTER NO CORPORAL PUNISHMENT was ordered, abuse, endangerment, neglect, non-appearance for deposition, etc., etc.) She still makes them lie to me on our phone conversations [that of which is on speaker and not private] and has now taken me off the medical and school lists.

I'm attempting to acquire a “Big” time attorney trying to reverse this joke of an order - he doesn’t take no for an answer, is licensed in several states [with firms in those states], also handles malpractice suits, sues counties/big corporations/hospitals, a real go-getter, well known & has been in the news: therefore I am very confident in him. However, his retainer is $25,000 & I don't have that kind of money lying around: especially when I'm already approx. $15,000 into attorney, GAL, court fees, and contempt charges (not counting other expenses). I beg you to help me save these precious kids: if it's nothing but a few dollars, as every penny is one cent closer to my goal. Help me get this out there to as many as possible — with any luck, there will be that one (or few) that will want & be able to help greatly. No matter the case, any help is very much appreciated.
