Help me fund my next guide dog

This is what happens when I use a cane to cross the road... a reckless cyclist drove on it without looking and went on his way, leaving me in the lurch with a broken cane. (second photo above)

Raising Funds for Nice's (My previous guide dog) Successor

I am Lee Lee, a fiercely independent lady who works as a motivation speaker, workshop facilitator, trainer, actor, among others.

As such, I have to travel a lot—going for meetings to clinch projects, meet people, network, in order to make a living...

Before Nice came into my life in 2013, my mobility aid was the white cane. As the white cane is not as efficient, I often get into accidents, be it others tripping it which resulted in bending it which makes traveling difficult or people tripping over and broke it...

In such circumstance, I would be stranded in the event I do not have a backup cane to continue my journey. Nice, a guide dog, came into my life in 2013 when we paired together.

Since then, I move about freely with Nice’s guidance!

I no longer fear of bumping into objects, people tripping over the white cane or even crossing the street has become safer for me!

Before that I had Nice, most vehicles do not emit sounds that helps blind persons to anticipate whether it is safe to cross the street.

When Nice came along, she was my pair of eyes to help me see and disobeys intelligently should I make the wrong judgment call...

She has kept me safe, avoiding danger on countless occasions!

Going into public transport is a breeze for me as she would help me locate an empty seat or lead me to a safe corner to stand during peak hours and when it is crowded.

I am appealing for your help to raise funds for her successor as she is now 9 years old and her energy is getting lower with age...

In the past year, I've noticed that she is not able to sustain physically a whole day’s work...

She is flat out every time we return home...

Hence, it is affecting my travel a lot.

Finding a suitable guide dog is an arduous process... with a lot of costs involved...

I may be working right now, but I may soon not be able to if I do not find a guide dog that can be paired with me...

and of course, finances is a huge challenge to me.

I'm looking to raise $55,000 to acquire a new guide dog and I kindly seek your help in continuing to be able to contribute to the society.
