Help me from dropping out

I am currently in my second year of Actuarial Science at Stellenbosch University.

I got 6 distinctions in matric and passed all my first year modules, earning distinctions in 6 of my modules.

Unfortunately adjusting to the online learning methods adapted by the university for 2021, I struggled academically and now have to extend my degree.

I informed my mother of this and she expressed to me that she cannot afford and additional year so the chances of me having to drop out are high.

I don't want to drop out because I've wanted to become an Actuary since I was in Grade 10. I wanted to be a doctor but I was scared of blood so I looked for another job in the health industry and combine with my mathematical and analytical aptitude, I chose Actuarial Science so that one day I could help designs medical aid schemes that an everyday South African can afford.

According to most bursaries, I am not considered financially needy and that's because my parents earn a salary that is above the maximum household income. This immediately disregards the fact that my parents are divorced with shared custody. My mom has a loan on a house which she bought 6 years ago, she also supports myself, and my sister who is in high school while my dad has 2 other children, both still in primary school.

So as much as they say I'm not financially needy, it's based on their standards which my family situation is clearly very different from.

This situation puts me at a disadvantage and now I face the chance of dropping out because of my financial circumstances.

I have turned to crowd funding as a way to raise funds to fund my degree. I would be beyond grateful to anyone who makes a donation towards my cause.

Help me get that degree so that I can realise my dreams of helping my wonderful nation's citizens afford Health Care.
