Help me achieve my educational goals

Hi, I'm Mia, a home based Beautician situated in the Upper-Highway area of Durban.

I started my business, Lulah, in Feb 2020 after being retrenched due to Covid19 hitting the insurance industry hard and used the funds I received to purchase salon equipment and start my studies with Lovella Lash and Brow Artistry, and internationally accredited institute. I have since completed my studies in Lash Lamination, Henna spa brows, Classic Lash extensions and I'm currently in the process of obtaining my certification in Volume Lash extensions - all self funded.

From the hundreds of queries I've received from clients and my own little FBI investigation, I've noticed a massive need for affordable; well-done permanent makeup art in my current location. Microblading and Machine powder brows are a well sought after procedure that's gained increased popularity over the last 10 years, but the demand for this service is not being met due to the lack of properly educated artists. And that's where I come in.

It has always been my dream to progress in my beauty studies and being able to offer all current and future clients permanent makeup at my studio is just a natural fit for me. However, while I don't lack in drive and ambition to succeed, I do lack in funding.

Lovella offers Microblading and Machine powder brows in Cape Town and Centurion - two places I currently don't reside in so on top of the course fees, I have to factor in travel and accommodation. Therefore, I've put my funding target to 2600 dollars which equates to roughly R40 000 depending on the market.

The breakdown of the funds required are:

• R35 900 for Machine powder brow course fees and full kit
• R3000 estimated flight costs
• R1100 estimated for accommodation

Any other costs incurred will be covered by myself over the 3 day training period.

Lovella Lash and Brow Artistry is the best of the best. They have the most comprehensive training on the market and an amazing support network for artists which I've experienced first hand over the 2 years I've studied through them.

The backing I receive from this campaign would mean I could finally realize my PMU dreams, afford to move to a bigger premise in the nearer future and create job opportunities for aspiring artists just like me. It's a stepping stone to much greater things.
