Campaign Story
Our son, Markus, was diagnosed with Spastic Cerabral Palsy at 14 months. We have since been searching for every possible resource to create the best possible life for him. He can crawl but is unable to walk due to his spasms and balance.
We came across Dr Park at St Louis Children's hospital and found that he is the only neurosurgeon in the world that's willing to remove 70% of all spasticity. In order to make this big decision we have come to realize the term "it takes a village" all too well.
We need your help to get Markus to Dr Park and give him a chance to walk! His surgery will give him that chance and we will do everything in our power to make sure he gets it.
The costs will involve:
Surgery: $39745
Braces: $6500
Percs Surgery: $12951
Physio @$225 per session x 5 weeks
Accommodation : R50 000 for 5 weeks
Flights: R46 000
