Campaign Story
Mark might not be aware of it, but over the years he has gathered an extremely large extended family…whether he wanted to or not! People of all ages, different backgrounds, speaking different languages, from different walks of life. Mark fills others’ lives with love, humour, strength, value and joy. Quick witted, fiercely protective of his family, and with an impeccable standard, he is quick to put you back on the right path but is always the first to offer help, a listening ear, and words of encouragement and support. The network of support that is behind him and his family right now is immense, and rightly so.
As Mark and his family embark on this period of uncertainty, ups and downs, and new challenges, let us be the extended family that they need and deserve. Let us offer our help and our support.
On Saturday 19th December, Mark is undergoing a 13 hour surgery to remove the cancerous portion of his jaw. In the weeks following, there will be hospital stays, tests, scans and time away from home. We can help reduce a fraction of the worry by eliminating the financial stresses that accompany this level of medical care.
We would like to raise R200,000.00 to help. This money and any additional, will assist with medical costs, transport and accommodation.
There will be many hurdles in the next few months but none that cannot be overcome through love, support and faith.
