UPDATE- 15.04.2022 smo bili u Beogradu kod dr. Aleksandra Urosevica u klinici Atlas na kontroli te je Marin spreman za prvu operaciju koja je zakazana u 12.mj ove godine. Trenutno smo na 6500€,molim vas pomozite da skupimo jos 4000€ jer kompletna rekonstrukcija kosta 10500€

Ja sam Doris Rogulj,mama Marina Budimira (10). Marin je rođen s mikrotiom desnog uha 3.stupanj. Mikrotia (lat. Microtia) je kongenitalna hipoplazija koja se karakterizira sa izuzetnom malom ušnom školjkom sa slabije il jacim izraženim deformitetima pojedinih anatomskih djelova školjki. Javlja se u jednom slučaju na 8000 do 10000 živorođene djece. Marin tek sad,s navršenih 10 godina može krenut u borbu za svoje novo,veliko uho. 10 godina čekanja iz razloga što se rekonstrukcija radi po Nagati metodi te opseg prsa mora bit min 60cm jer se vadi hrskavica iz rebara te se oblikuje usna skoljka. Uho ce mu bit rekonstruirano kroz 2 do 3 operacije tijekom godine dana. U 4.mj idemo u Beograd na konzultacije kod vrsnog kirurga koji se vise godina bavi ovakvim zahvatima, te cemo tad saznat i datum prve operacije. Kompletna rekonstrukcija usne skoljke kosta cca 10000€

Greetings to all,

I am Doris Rogulj, the mother of a 10 year old boy, Marin Budimir. Marin was born with grade III right ear microthioma. Microtia is a congenital hypoplasia characterized by an extremely small outer ear with pronounced deformities of anatomical parts of the ear. It occurs in one case per 8000 to 10000 live births. Marin was one of those cases. His entire childhood, I would see this happy-go-lucky boy grow suddenly ashamed every time he saw a reflection in the mirror. I never showed him my broken heart.

At the age of 10, however, Marin can begin his journey toward a new, normal looking ear. He has waited for 10 years for his chest circumference to grow to at least 60cm. This was necessary because a part of the ribs’ cartilage will be removed to form the outer ear. Marin will need to go through two to three serious surgeries over the course of a year before he can showcase his new ear.

In April, we will be going to Belgrade to consult with an experienced surgeon for this type of surgery. The cost of the complete reconstruction of the outer ear will be approximately €10,000. We will know more about timing and other details after we meet with the surgeon.

In anticipation of high costs of surgery, travel and board, I am using this platform to ask you for help with any contribution you are willing to give.

I want Marin to get his new, big ear so he can hear well and feel well. More than anything, I want to see a smile on his face when he looks in the mirror.
