Dear friends, allies and students of Maestra Ynes and Niwe Rao Xobo,

The family is requesting help to finish rebuilding the last 7 remaining tambos (guest casitas) that are currently unusable and in disrepair. They want to be able to host you and future guests in the best way possible! In the past 2 years, building costs have more than tripled. 2 years ago, building one guest casita (tambo) cost $1700. Currently, the same building plan costs $5700. Having so many dwellings unusable has created a financial strain on the business as they have been unable to host as many participants per group as usual.

Since Peru re-opened its borders post COVID 2.5 yrs ago, the family has invested a huge effort to rebuild and refurbish the majority of the buildings and infrastructure. In this time they have rebuilt 7 guest tambos (guest casitas) the dining hall, bathrooms, and erected a beautiful yoga palapa/library space for guests to enjoy. Last year they received financial support to rebuild the ceremonial maloka which was recently beautifully painted by Maestra Ynes's son Carlos. With a dedication to excellence, they have been investing all of their profit back into improving the infrastructure of the center. Currently, without outside support, Niwe Rao Xobo is only able to finance rebuilding one new tambo every 6 months. If you have benefited from the work with the plants and the maestras, this is a great opportunity to reciprocate and support them to continue their good work!

About Niwe Rao Xobo:

Niwe Rao Xobo is a traditional Master Plant Dieta Center founded by Shipibo Healer Maestra Ynes 10 years ago. The center is managed by, employs, and economically supports her immediate and extended family, and acts as the physical anchor and hub for the continuation of the family's ancestral wisdom and knowledge.

What is needed:

For each tambo:

Materials: 17 306 soles ($4840 USD)

Labor: $3000 soles ($840 USD)

$5680 for each tambo.

7 tambos = $39 760
