Help Kristina Marie Record her Debut CD

WELCOME FRIENDS, FAMILY, FANS AND FRIENDLY BROWSERS! 

 

I am about to embark on a new adventure to record my first EP (CD), and I am so excited to share this experience with you! I will be working with talented producer, Troy Welstad. Troy is an acclaimed keyboardist and multi-instrumentalist who has toured world-wide with multi-platinum artists including Pink, Hilary Duff, Brooke Fraser, A Fine Frenzy, Ryan Cabrera and many others. He has performed on numerous TV shows including The Tonight Show, Conan O’Brian, American Music Awards, MTV, Today Show, and The View. 

In order to make this recording possible, I have chosen gogetfunding.com to help raise the funds needed. Unlike other fundraising websites that only allow "all or nothing" funding, gogetfunding.com will allow me to keep whatever monies are raised to use for this project. However, there is a catch! If you decide to donate, you only have a limited time to do so before my project expires!  The project details and goal are below but first, please read my story.

 

 

MY STORY

I began singing and songwriting as a child while learning to play piano. In high school, I competed in the state vocal competition, performed many roles in musical theatre, and was a soloist in choir. I won music scholarships to college and double majored in Music/Vocal Performance and Journalism at the University of Oregon. My involvement in the UO Opera Workshop took me around the country singing lead roles in various operas, and I went on to sing at the Eugene Opera. After graduation, I landed a job in marketing communications and decided to settle down and marry my college sweetheart. We started a wonderful life together and now have two beautiful children. I continued to sing in church choir and weddings, but had put aside my songwriting. Although I accepted Jesus Christ as my personal savior earlier in life, in the last few years, the Lord recaptured my heart and renewed my spirit, and suddenly I began songwriting again! Today, I am a worship leader and teacher at Community Bible Study. I am also a worship team singer at my church and am involved in children’s ministries at both places.  

 

 

 WHY ARE YOU DOING THIS? 

 “...be filled with the Spirit, speaking to one another with psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit. Sing and make music from your heart to the LORD.” Ephesians 5:18-19

 

Earlier this year I wrote and played a song at a memorial for a friend who took her own life.  Why spend money and countless hours writing and recording my songs?  Because people desperately need hope in the midst of darkness and there is no better time than NOW. It is my dream to be able share with you my songs of hope and Truth. One song that is very special to my heart is one I wrote for my children called, "Wonderful, Precious You." I wrote this song so that they would know how much God loves them and remember to always measure their worth by what God says about them. When life is tough and they see their flaws, I tell them that God only sees the "Wonderful, Precious You."  I hope my songs will inspire and touch your heart.  I have written bunches of songs, however, it depends on funding as to how many songs I will be able to record. I need your help!

 

 

My goal of $6,500 will allow me to record a 4 song EP (CD) including producer fees, mixing, mastering, session musicians, studio time, duplication, and distribution.
