Help Kimi To Relocate To Europe

Hi Guys,

Let me introduce myself. My name is Elias and I’ve been staying for the last 6.5+ years in India and Southeast Asia. Currently, I’m with my companion Kimi in the Himalayas of India. Over the years, I have come to love this country,culture and people. I have experienced the positive as well as negative aspects of living in India, and especially when it comes to the tremendous number of helpless stray animals on the streets of India.Despite the fact that I grew up with dogs and adore all animals, I was unable to adopt a dog for the first 3–4 years I was here because I believe that one must take 100% responsibility and ownership of a dog, or any other kind of being for that matter!But then, on March 23rd2019, everything changed. While travelling in late March from Dehradun to Rishikesh (North India), I saw a small puppy (3-4 weeks old) in the middle of the highway without any siblings or mother around. Although I usually don’t stop for every dog that crosses my path (reasons explained above), this time my intuition told me to stop. After talking to people in surrounding areas to understand where the dog came from or where the mother / siblings were, I came to the conclusion that he must have been abandoned by his previous owners. It didn’t take much time until I had to make the decision to leave Kimi to die on the busy highway without mother or siblings, or to take him home. Although I was very busy with work and personal projects back then, nevertheless I couldn’t leave him on the road to die, and initiallyI thought of finding him a new home in Europe or North America. Unfortunately, in India, the majority prefer to keep pedigree dogs rather than caring for their breeds of Indian origin. After a couple of weeks looking for a new pet parent for Kimi, I made the decision to keep him with me - no matter what it takes! And basically, since then, we have been travelling, experiencing, and living together in the north of India. We were locked down in New Delhi during the global crisis, and finally, after being there for almost 15 months, we were able to head to the Himalayas and enjoy time surrounded by beautiful nature, fresh air, and new challenges. Now the time has come when I took the decision to go back to Europe and start a new chapter, but obviously Kimi is part of my life and he will fly back with me to Europe in late March 2022. If relocating a dog or any other pet would be just as easy as it is with humans, but the documents, health certificates, microchipping, vaccine status, approved IATA crates, airport service, and especially the costs that are involved with it are quite something.This is why I’m starting this crowdfunding page to be able to safely relocate my beautiful and stunning dog Kimi, and continue living our best life’s!! • Flight Ticket from Delhi to Frankfurt - 780€

• Kimis on Hold ticket - 300€

• Rabies Titter Antibody Test and Microchipping - 425€ (done in winter 2019)

• Paper Work / Documentations and Airport Service - 400€

• Approved IATA crate - 430€ [ Kimis needs the biggest lol]

• Additional Vet visits, transportation costs etc - 100€

Total: 2000€ ( 2435€)
