Help Jonah Pay for College

          Hi, my name is Jonah Witt. I am currently a senior in high school, and I will be continuing my education next year at the University of Tennesee, seeking a major in computer science and engineering. Even though this is an in-state school, the tuition is still very steep. With a full year of tuition totaling 18,000 dollars a year, that could lead to a very large student loan. Due to the current state of the economy, I have no money to go towards my college tuition and will rely entirely on scholarships and financial aid. 

         I have taken my academics very seriously over the course of my high school career in order to help make paying for college an easier process. I have maintained a 4.5 gpa and I scored a 34 out of 36 on my ACT test. I did all of this while playing on the school's varsity soccer team, being a member of the DECA chapter, and competing on our ethics bowl team which went to national's this past year. Even with this resume, it seems that merit-based scholarships are few and far between. I spend hours searching for scholarships and find that I meet zero of the qualifications. Your contributions will not only help me further my education without crippling my financial future, but will help me live a life long dream!
