Help victims of Domestic Violence

Domestic Violence has been an issue all over the world and there doesn't seem to be enough going for the victims themselves. Yes they have shelters and places that claim to be private but in reality are not so private. I myself am a survivor of domestic violence and am working with other victims as well. I help them with medical expenses, food, clothing, lodging in private places for them and their children. Everyone seems to think that domestic violence can be overcome easily, and I will say that those individuals have never been through it to make such a statement. I've seen more law enforcement officers and judges releasing the offenders that beat on their spouses or significant others, only to return and either beat them again or finally ending their lives. I am asking to please donate to this cause so that we may help these victims that really need it. Some are very terrified and can't even leave their homes because of the fear of being attacked. I am working with a few women and am trying to raise enough money to send them out of state to start their lives over. I know that victims need to be educated but the system does this all wrong. The first thing that needs to be done is to find a safe haven for the victims and ultimately it is their choice, the farther the better. I've never taken classes or asked anyone for help in anyway because they don't help in ways that they should, I simply left everything and moved on to some where far away. I felt safer and was able to piece my life together. It took many years but ultimately I've survived. I have helped one victim and cannot reveal her name due to privacy. I have helped her with funding, bought her a bus ticket and gave her money for lodging until she found a job. To this day she is doing fantastic and she never took classes on abuse. Victims need to deal with these issues in a way that makes them comfortable. That's why I'm asking for donations to get these victims as far away from the abusers as possible. I know that not much can be done about the abusers because we do not control the law, but we can join together to help the victims. If people donate to a Religious charity that pays the salary of a preacher than why wouldn't you contribute to a fund that helps victims of domestic violence. The victims don't stand on a street corners and preach, they hide from shame and guilt because of the trauma they have dealt with. Every dollar will help, thank you!
