I have been practising Tai Chi since 2002. In 2007 I started competing and have since won 29 Gold, 14 Silver and 13 Bronze medals, along with the titles of London, British, Dutch, German and European champion!

The biennial Tai Chi World Championship is being held in October 2012 and my coach has decided that I am ready for it!

Pretty much all of my spare money is spent on training fees, attending competitions, training camps and seminars, and kit!

I have already paid £90 to register to compete at the Championships, but still need to raise £650 for flights, plus money for accommodation, food and travel, etc. My coach has arranged for us to arrive in Taiwan seven days prior to the competition for us to acclimatise!

Yesterday, on Saturday 4th August 2012, whilst Team GB were winning 5 Gold medals for Great Britain at the London 2012 Olympics, from 7.30am until 4pm I was experiencing one of my hardest training sessions to date, in preparation for the World Championships!

Please help me to win a Gold medal for Great Britain in October!

If the campaign to get Tai Chi into the Olympics is successul, who knows what I could be doing in 2016/2020 on behalf of Great Britain...!

Thank you so much.

Best wishes,
Emma
