The Vivamus Rocket Agency is a small rocket agency based in the frigid land of Canada. Our mission is to launch small rockets up into the sky, going higher and higher with every rocket. The purpose of this is to bring more exposure to space exploration, and to bring us new knowledge that will help study our local weather. Vivamus is hoping to peak people's interests with our projects, so that we can get more help to continue persuing our launches.
The Erucae rocket itself is planned to be 2.6in by 22in from base to tip, consisting of one solid rocket booster at the bottom. It will run off of a KNSU type of propellant, which should be relatively easy to work with, and provide enough thrust for our rocket. The solid rocket booster will go in the bottom of the rocket and is planned to be 2.4in by 12in and custom made. We are hoping to be able to get upwards of 100n, or 22.5lbs of thrust.
Our social media accounts will provide frequent updates on our rockets, and are a space where you can ask us any questions and get a swift reply. We will be showing everyone videos and livestreams for each launch, and will provide details through every single one, making sure everyone understands it. Whether its a record altitude, or a ground-breaking discovery, you will all be the first to know.
The money donated will all go towards making our launches better with every single attempt. If you opt in, you will be updated on how the money you donated will be used. Underneath is a list of all of our funding goals to let you know what we are able to do with that one extra dollar you donate.
$100 - We will have enough to begin experimenting with different types of fuels for the rocket, determining which fuel will be best for our purposes.
$250 - We will have enough to construct five different types of rocket booster, along with building a device to test the thrust and burn time of each booster.
$400 - We will have enough to build and test at least two different rocket bodies and determine which one is the best for launch.
$500 - We will have enough to build or buy a telemetry device to keep simple telemetry of our rocket as it ascends. It will keep track of the altitude, max speed, pulled G's, acceleration etc.
$750 - We will have enough to attach a GPS onto the rocket. This will make it much easier for us to recover the rocket for future launches, bringing the chances of a loss way down.
$1050 - We will have enough to attach an on-board camera to broadcast the views from the rocket, beginning from launch to touchdown.
Please keep in mind that as we go further on with this fundraiser, this information is subject to change, along with our fundraising goal. Every dollar helps, though!
