In 2015, Cheryl Grace traveled to South Africa for a month, including the beautiful DrakensbergMountains near Bergville, SA. Here is where she met Cheryl Blackburn, co-owner of Three Tree Hill Lodge and Elijah Mbonane, Owner of Siyaphambili Tours and chief tour guide. Through this inspired connection, the Legacy of Grace was born with these three founding partners.
Through persistent fund-raising from Cheryl in America and Cheryl from Three Tree Hill Lodge (South Africa) the Sakhile Centre of Learning is able to employ 2 teachers, put them through training, assist with learning aids & materials for pre-school children aged 1-5 years.
Every dollar raised goes to supporting the school, which was opened in January of 2016 and now has 50 children learning English and self-sustaining environmental concepts. We can change the world, one child at a time. You too can leave your legacy with your support.
In 2020 we plan to physically expand the centre, employ & educate 2 more teachers, as well as incorporate a tourism facility to make the project self-sustainable for the future.
