Help for Heidi

Heidi was in an accident about two months ago. She was riding her bicycle to her part-time job when a car hit her. As a result, she has ended up with injuries to her neck and spine.

Heidi and her family are very humble and proud. They have always made just enough to make ends meet. They have four beautiful children, one of which has special needs. She loves her family and would do anything for them.

When someone is injured in an accident, the system is very slow. I know this because my own husband was injured, due to a car accident, in 1998. It took a long time to cut through the red tape to receive any kind of
compensation. No one in the system who processes paperwork seems to care if you are suffering physically and financially. In the meantime and can no longer pay your bills and just barely get by. For us, it was a long, horrible, drawn-out process.

For Heidi’s family, they are already struggling to keep food on the table. By the kindness of others, they have been provided with some meals. Unfortunately, these kind souls cannot support the family until such time comes that they are receiving assistance. Additionally, the financial damage has already been done and it will take them a while to bounce back...when, and if, that time comes.

It is not known how long Heidi will be unable to work or help provide for her family’s basic necessities to survive each day. She is in a lot of pain from her injuries and her medical future is uncertain as the doctors are still running tests and deciding the next course of action in her medical care.

I created this fundraising endeavor to help Heidi get through this difficult time. To help feed the family. Heidi has overcome tremendous childhood adversity and become a truly beautiful woman. Please find it in your heart to help me help my Heidi through this difficult chapter in her life.
