Help for Evan

Evan was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes on July 27th, 2016. His blood sugars were 354, his A1C was 13 and he could barely walk. He lost 17 pounds within a few days and was in the throes of ketoacidosis - a life threatening result of the prolonged high blood sugar. His body was starving. He was rushed via ambulance to Children's where treatment was started and I began to see MY Evan again. He will need insulin for the rest of his life. These costs will continue to grow as more of the bills come in and I am just praying for strength of spirit! While his dad and I are no longer together, we are working well together to manage Evan's care. That said, the medical bills and costs of medications (even with insurance) are astronomical. The last thing that I want Evan to worry about is if mom can afford his medications or pay his hospital bills. I spent a great deal of time in prayer before making the decision to initiate this account. God bless everyone for taking a moment to read this.
