Help for a wheelchair

Hello to everyone! First of all, I want to thank you for taking the time to read this, I pray your houses are blessed just for taking that small step! My name is Matias. I live in Peru, South America.  I am starting this fundraiser because my sister-in-law, Sara, needs this chair to go up and down stairs to go our second floor department.   Sara was born in 1979, in Lima, Peru. Her mom, Sara Nelly, lived in extreme poverty during the time she was pregnant with Sara, her first child.Sara got sick with bronchitis and fever when she was 3 months old, because of the cold temperatures that she was exposed to. Sara Nelly took little Sara to the hospital, but one of the nurses decided to inject Lincocin to try to lower her body temperature. Little Sara did not react well to the Lincocin and her body went into a vegetative state. The doctors thought she was “useless” (and that’s the word they used at that time), so they decided to drain her of the cephalorachidian liquid, thinking that she wasn’t going to survive. Using her as an "example" of what could be saved out of someone who was dying to the med school students that were in the hospital at that time. The fact is that Sara survived, but had had a very hard life. Throughout the years, Sara’s mother took her to different rehabilitation clinics to help Little Sara recover from this ordeal. She was diagnosed with quadriplegia, and her mom was told that Sara would die before reaching the age of 15. After years of treatments and several surgeries, Sara was able to stay in an upright position and move her left hand. She had an operation where they placed a titanium bar in her back, in order to align her spine, because it had taken an S shape. Her right hand also went under surgery, because it was turning outward, so they placed 8 nails on her right hand, 7 of them could be seen from outside, and one is placed inside the bone along with 2 fixation devices to make the hand turn inward again. They had taken out 3 of the nails that could be seen about 8 years ago (year 2002). Thanks to a few friends, Sara was able to undergo surgery to get those nails removed, since they were starting to migrate and come out of the other side.All those years and surgeries were paid by donations made by Swedish missionaries. Those missionaries are not here anymore and their mission has dissipated.Sara is 35 years old and she still alive, even though the doctors predict she wasn’t going to make it, she had completed studies of Office Automation, but possibilities of work here in Peru are scarce for the handicapped, as well as suitable public transportation for them. Sara’s mother and father are still alive, but their only income come from her father, and is not a lot. After I got married with Sara’s sister, I was able to rent an apartment to move in with my wife, but shortly after, Sara’s mother lost her job, so we had to move back in to help them out with the bills and the rent.This is a short version of Sara’s stories, because I have heard the long version, and it would take many many more pages to be able to tell it. I pray that God touches your heart in this moment through this story. We give all the glory to God because if Sara is alive today, is only God’s doing and will.
