Help feed covid-19 affected poor in the Philippines

In the Philippines, 21% of the population live at or below the poverty line and many rely on a small daily income to buy food. With the covid-19 lockdown, many of the poor, especially in the rural provinces are unable to work and therefore have no money to buy food.

My wife and I have been sending money to the Albay province in the Philippines so food and other supplies can be purchased but there's more people that need our help. I'm starting my first GoFundMe to try and raise additional money.

We normally try and give 5kg of rice, coffee, sugar, oil, soap, laundry powder, fresh meat (pork, chicken, fish), snacks and a treat for the kids.

Around USD$40 (SGD$55) buys a 50kg sack of rice, buys a 50kg sack of rice so a little goes a long way and it's truly appreciated by those who receive help. If you've ever met a Filipino, you'll know how warm hearted they are.

100% of the money goes to buy this food. All supplies are purchased, packed and distributed by extremely trustworthy people so there's no skimming normally so prevalent in the Philippines.
