My brother, Dwight Llamas, is a very loving husband and a responsible and hands-on father to his two kids, Joaquin (6 years old) and Laura (two months old). Aware of the hardships of raising a family and having lost his mom at an early age, Dwight made it sure that his family lives comfortably by doing everything he can to provide for them while at the same time making them feel secure and loved every chance he gets.

For the past 10 years, he and his wife have been working together in Singapore. He is a very dedicated man, most especially to his wife and their kids. Not only is he a blessing to them but also to his relatives and friends as he always has a good and generous heart to those in need.

However, on the fateful day of July 7, 2021 at 10 am, his wife found Dwight unconscious in their house. She had to apply CPR on him as he is not responsive ,and from there, had him immediately rushed to the Ng Teng Fong General Hospital for emergency treatment.

Based on the results of the tests, the doctors confirmed that my brother-in-law suffered from diffuse brain hypoxia and remains unconscious until now. Seeing his current situation really feels like heaven’s falling. It seems that the future that they planned together is gradually crumbling.

But we know that we still have him as long as his heart continues to beat, which is in a way telling us that he has not given up this fight. My sister cannot fathom the idea that their two-month-old daughter and 6-year-old son would grow up without a dad. No matter how gleam the future may be, for as long as there is hope, we will relentlessly fight to get Dwight back no matter what it takes.

This battle is a difficult one and we need every possible help there is, most especially with the finances. As of 13 July, his hospital expenses already surpassed S$20,000 and the bills continue to pile up every single day. This is before factoring in the Air Ambulance as we are also looking to send him back to the Philippines as my sister will have more support there like family and friends. The Air Ambulance cost might goes up to S$300,000.

Our savings are already at a breaking point thus I humbly ask for everyone’s assistance to continue this fight for his survival and recovery. Every single amount, no matter how big or small, will be of valuable help and we will forever be grateful to your generosity.

Together, let us help my brother, get a fighting chance against this terrible disease. It may still be a long road ahead, but we are keeping our hopes high that one day, his family will be complete again.

Thank you very much and I pray for everyone’s safety during this pandemic.
