Help Donnie

Hi,

As a friend of Donnie I've taken the time to set up this fundraiser so all Donnie's friends can come together to help him finally resolve his long standing business with the Guess Who. In this day and age it is unfortunate only those who can pay for justice get a shot at justice. Unfortunately that seems to be how it’s played out for Donnie's relationship with the Guess Who. For Donnie The only way he will be able to get the powers that be who were running business of the Guess Who's latest reunion tour, to provide documentation to justify not fulfilling their financial obligations to Donnie for the two years he toured again with the band,  is to take them to court. Donnie simply has run out of money. Too often today that is just how it goes, those that have the big bucks bank on those that don’t will never be able to muster what it takes to bring them to task. So they just get away with it. 

What we want to do is ask for your support to help create a fund to get Donnie to the next step in the process of getting paid, which is going to court for discovery. This is where the court reviews what each side has to say, each side presents evidence and decisions are made by each sides legal team as to what’s next. It’s going to cost $15,000.00 to get this done. Donnie's legal team feels optimistic that if we can get it this fare that may be enough to show the other side they must come to the table and negotiate a settlement. What ever you can do to help will be greatly appreciated. No money changes hands until we reach our goal, all we are asking for is your pledge to the amount you feel OK about to provide at the time we have enough pledges totaling the amount. The money will then be placed in trust with the lawyer. As soon as the outcome of the case is determined, any money paid to Donnie will first be used to repay all the donations. 

I'm grateful for this service to provide a way to do this. I hope this works. Its very unfortunate that after a lifetime of being dedicated to the music business and being a trusting and kind person, it has to come to this. And after what was promised by those named in the statement of claim, which would and help Donnie and Bonnie prepare for retirement. After working for basic pay during the tour, and spending what money they had fighting this so fare, has now left them both with nothing.
