Campaign Story
Delene is 61 years old and works in the finance department at a school. She has no medical aid or medical insurance. She suffers from epilepsy and until recently it was under control. On the 29th of June, Delene had at least 5 consecutive seizures. During one of the seizures she fell and hit her head against her bedside table. She fractured her skull and has internal bleeding that’s causing pressure behind her eyes.
Delene firstly needs an operation to fix the fracture to her skull. Then she needs to see a neurologist and get an MRI. She also needs to get a lot of blood work done. She hasn’t been able to see a neurologist in 5 years but now it’s critical. She is not able to afford any of this.
Because of Covid-19 she is struggling to get help from public hospitals. They are overrun with patients. Please help us support Delene to afford private medical care.
