Help Change Orphan lives in Mozambique

My name is Jezreel, I'm 21 years old and my passion is missions. As a gap year in 2018, I volunteered with Iris Ministries at Zimpeto Children's Centre in Mozambique. I fell in love with the Mozambican people and culture. Despite being war-torn and poverty-stricken, the people are holding onto hope; and to the best of their abilities helping one another. The Zimpeto children and community became my family and despite the challenges, God's love did miracles. God touched my heart deeply as He showed me His love for the children and youth of this nation.

Although they have been abandoned, abused and starved, these children of Mozambique have hearts overflowing with life and joy. They are living in hope because they know they are seen by their Father who loves them. And, they have the faith that we dream of because they are fully dependent on the Lord.

My heart's desire is to serve in Mozambique and be a vessel for the Lord to love the dying, lost and broken. There are still many children barely surviving, but through love and compassion, they will begin to thrive.

Stepping into missions long term, I am trusting for the funding to legally live in Mozambique; as well as show love by meeting the needs of those around me in a practical way. It's not about what I have or even who I am, it's about who He is and that He wants to change the lives of His children.
