Hi my name is Catherine Roland.
I am a current third year student at Rhodes University in South Africa and I am struggling to find finances in preparation of my honours year in communication design and final year of my 4 year journalism degree. I have previously used fiancial loans and rebates based on high academic achievements to fund my studies. I work as a stooge so that my accommodation and food expenses are paid for. But unfortunately I can no longer take out loans and I have not qualified for NSFAS funding despite my appeals in the past three years. I am a dedicated student, been on the dean’s list and received academic half colours for the last three years and I have provisional acceptance into my honours course. I have tried to source out scholarships and bursaries for my course but only without any luck. I work too hard to not finish this degree because of a lack of money.
I am desperate to complete my studies and I am asking anyone to please assist me: even if it is R100, every little bit counts.
I want to thank you in advance for reading this and thank you for any contribution that you are willing to make.
