Help Build the New 2021 Fiberclassics Promo Vehicle

Hey Everyone,

I can honestly say I never thought I would be doing a fundraiser like this. As many times over the years that readers of our website www.fiberclassics.org as well as our facebook group https://www.facebook.com/groups/fiberclassics people have said I should do this I have always put it off. I have avoided this for the same exact reason I have always tried to limit the advertising that we show on the website and in the group. Its not what our readers want to see usually.

So what brought me here? Well I made a post joking about wanting a Smyth Performance Beetle Kit for Christmas because I got an email saying they are on sale for $2590. Just like with any other post it was met with mixed results, but mostly positive. To my surprise Eric with AG-Industrial Refinishing not only said he would paint the car but also do the installation of the kit. Eric has been building hot rods, kit car, and painting for many years and does top notch work.

After Eric said he would do that he really got me thinking. Fiberclassics really does have some of the greatest group members on facebook. Especially for a bunch of opinionated Car Guys and Girls. We have grown from an afterthought to almost 18000 members in just a few short years. And we continue to grow daily. The entire time the group has stayed pretty much on topic and true to the hobby we all love.

With all that being said. What's the chances we could pull this fundraiser off? I just looked and the group currently has 17,414 members. I figure the price of a kit, plus and a donor could be done for under $5000 . Now I know that all 17,414 members are not "real" BUT if they were they would only need to give 30 CENTS each to reach the $5000 goal.

So what about the several 1000 ACTIVE members who enjoy the content, the people, and appreciate the hours a week that myself and the mods put into the group to keep it the best kit car related group on facebook? Is all of our time over the years worth a couple dollars to you ? If not I understand and we are all still happy to have you as a member. But if you want to see this build happen and got a $1, $2, $, or even $10 to spare I and the rest of the crew would certainly appreciate it.
