Take a chance on an emerging theatre collective and contribute to a special cause. The moolahs you donate will not only support their premiere production but will contribute to Sufra- a Food Bank & Kitchen at NW London.

By donating to our crowdfunding campaign, you are not only helping us to make Fringe less scary to participate, but you are also donating to ensure that no one in the Brent community goes hungry.
**For every £10 donated towards the crowdfunding, FK Colab will donate £2 to SUFRA.**

Sufra NW London is a local charity established in 2013 to address both the causes and consequences of impoverishment in the community.Their Community Hub provides a life-line for people in crisis, including
families living in extreme poverty and people who are vulnerable, homeless and socially isolated.

Now, what else is your donation going to ?

Real Talk- Exposure and Experience does not pay the rent! As artists, we are not going to pretend to say that Fringe productions make enough to pay everyone. In the most basic calculations, it will tell you it’s impossible to make money from box office income in theatres with venues less than 100 seats.

So why are we still participating in Camden Fringe 2019?

“The London fringe is the only place where most people can hone their craft and build a CV that just might get them into audition rooms” –The Stage,UK

We believe strongly on fair pay. Although in reality, we all know that doesn't happen. The economics of fringe theatre often don't stack up, and creatives in particular often end up working for very little or nothing at all. That said, every small change from you is a goldmine for us. No matter big or small, every donation goes a long way.

The FK Co-Lab are hoping to fill the 60-seater The Lion & Unicorn Theatre with The Cardboard Kitchen Project on the 19th & 20th Of August. As much as we want 100% bums on seats, we need some extra monetary push.

We need some help to support us on the :

- Registration fees of £99
- Basic per diems for our #allfemale Creatives & Production
- Marketing campaign to get people to notice us!
- Poster, Flyers, Programme, Social Ads and Digital advertisements

THE CARDBOARD KITCHEN PROJECT

The production is a one woman show played by the amazing Varshini Pichemuthu, an actress and a spoken word artist and a drama facilitator from Singapore, who is currently based in London. She is also the Co-Artistic Director for Root Prints Theatre.

FK Co-lab has been collaborating with Varshini on our R&D since March. We met Aida Rocci and got her on board as our dramaturg. Aida is a Spanish theatre artist currently based in London, and has been a production dramaturg for shows such as Eve Ensler’s In the Body of the World directed by Diane Paulus and Peter Brook’s The Man Who directed by Marcus Stern. As part of our onging R&D, we are exploring and experimenting with lights together with the exceptional, Raycher Phua who is also from Singapore and currently based in London. Raycher has worked with Singpaore and UK artists such as Zul Mahmod, Katie Mitchell and Complicite. Our production and stage manager ‘power-house’ team includes Deanna Dzulkifli & Lili Muslihah who were last seen taking over VanThanh Production’s Summer Rolls at Park Theatre.

Packed with real stories, borrowed utensils, and secret ingredients, The Cardboard Kitchen Project explores cultural inheritance and what gets passed down through recipes and cultural memory.More updates on our R&D and audience development on our socials @thefkcolab

FK CO-LAB
It’s not about ticking boxes; it’s about putting the work first.

FK Co-Lab presents the urgent and immediate socio-political landscape through the lens of the personal, using praxis as a dramaturgical process that drives our collaborative artistic explorations and research enquiry. We engage with who we are in relationship with the historical, current, and found places we position ourselves in to access the forgotten and unheard individual and collective voices in society.
