Help Brandon Davis Beat Cancer!

Update posted by JENNIFER DE LUNA On Mar 12, 2018

After a slight delay to the schedule, due to the need for a blood transfusion (issue w/ hemoglobin levels), Brandon completed his 6th round of Chemo this past Tuesday. This coming Tuesday he will be getting new scans (PET & MRI). He will meet with the Oncologist on Wednesday to talk about "next steps". He will also have a surgical re-evaluation. Please pray with us that surgery is not necessary and that the tumor has shrunk significantly or is COMPLETELY GONE! Brandon is currently having no pain, so that's a good sign...considering his pain was originally unbearable! More to come as we have more to share. Thank you again for all your love, support and prayers. They have been felt immensely!!!

Brandon starts his 5th cycle of chemo tomorrow, Feb. 12th. It's his rough 5 day chemo. We will be there for 6 hours every day. He has one more 2 day cycle the week of the 26th and then we will meet with the oncologist on Feb. 28th to have his first scans to see how well the tumor has responded to the initial 6 rounds. Please be praying that the tumor is GONE! Even if it is, he will still have to endure radiation and 8 more rounds of chemo. Ewings Sarcoma is known to splatter throughout the body microscopically, undetected by a PET SCAN. THANK YOU SO MUCH for all of your support! Everyone has been a tremendous help financially, spiritually, and mentally! You are #BrandonsArmy!

PLEASE keep on SHARING this! It's going to be a long road, but with your support, we will conquer this beast!

Hi everyone. It's Laura, Brandon's mom. We just want to thank everyone who has donated, prayed, dropped off dinners, and just been there for our family! We are so thankful for all of your support! There aren't enough words to express how grateful we are! Brandon sees every donation and really enjoys reading all of the kind messages. It really brightens up his spirits❤❤❤ Please continue to share this link. It really helps Brandon to not worry about the financial aspect of the loss of my income to care for him. He has always been more worried about everyone else than himself. THANKS AGAIN FROM THE BOTTOM OF OUR HEARTS!

Brandon went to UCLA for a 2nd opinion on Tuesday. They agreed with Kaiser's treatment protocol, so he began his first round of Chemotherapy on Tuesday evening @ 9pm. His rounds will each last 5 consecutive days of infusions. This first round will be inpatient, so they can monitor him for any reactions. Thank you for all the love you've shown the family! Please continue to lift them in prayer in this difficult time!

Brandon is still awaiting the results of his bone marrow test to determine if the cancer has spread to his bones (Ewing's Sarcoma is a bone and soft tissue cancer). The marrow was taken last Friday, and the results were estimated to take a week. This evening he will have a PET Scan to find out if the Cancer is still localized or if it has spread to any other areas. The results of that are expected in 1-2 days. Please pray for good test results and please also continue to pray for the family as they have tough decisions to make in the near future. Thank you!

Brandon was told today that his Cancer is Ewing's Sarcoma. It is a rare type of cancer that affects mostly children and teenagers and is found in the bones or soft tissue. Kaiser's treatment protocol is estimated to take 8 months. The plan consists of 6 rounds of chemotherapy each spaced 2 weeks apart, followed by more rounds of radiation, then 6 more rounds of chemotherapy. The family has been in contact with a few well respected Oncologists who are experts in Sarcoma and they were referred to an Oncologist who specializes in Ewing's Sarcoma. They want to make sure that Brandon gets the best and most effective treatments. Please continue to pray for them as they make some tough decisions in the near future in regards to his treatments! Thank you!
