Help Aubrey get his much needed surgery

Hi everyone. My name is Valerie and today I have decided to help another person. Last year at a high school where my mother is a teacher, I noticed a young boy who had a form of disability. He was walking quite strangely and ofcourse he was a joke to the learners. No matter how much we can address bullying in schools especially high school, it will always remain a problem especially in the black community.

After a while studying him from a distance, I sat him down to hear what had happened to him. Turns out it was a botched operation. One quack doctor had put bolts and nuts in his legs and when he took them out, his legs lost their form. He has a passion for sports. I had a lengthy conversation with his mom and she told me that his boy no longer goes out to play, he's stuck indoors and has lost any bit of happiness he had. One can tell by how he carries himself that he's fallen into a deep depression and his state of mental health has given predators to try & introduce him to substance abuse however despite what he is going through, he has a backbone to say no. Now I have gone to a number of specialist to try and assist him pro bono as his mother is a single parent and wont be able to afford a surgery of this magnitude.

Until I did come across a very well known doctor who wishes to remain Anonymous and who has plenty of successful bone operations done has agreed to help him. Although he wanted to do it Pro Bono isn't able to. He asked us to raise atleast a portion of the money for the operation and the rest he will see how he helps him out.

The operation including treatment which he will be treating him after surgery for almost a whole year is set to be around 500k+ however if we can come up with atleast 100k he will do the surgery. My wish is to see him go play sports and do everything he's been wanting to do and get that smile back. His surgery is scheduled for end August so by the time he goes to Matric in 2023 he'll be fully recovered!
