Help AmsterDog with Hurricane Medical Bills

Dear Family, Friends and Good people!

 Hurricane Sandy has affected us all here in New York. One of the ways I’ve helped the recovery is by fostering an amazing dog Birdie. Her previous owners lost their house in the hurricane and could not take her with them. Birdie is such a sweet girl and it has been a pleasure hosting her in our house. 

 I found Birdie through a rescue group, AmsterDog, which saves dogs on kill lists. Birdie would have been put to sleep about two weeks ago if it wasn’t for AmsterDog.

 Over these past two weeks I have gotten to know Deborah, the woman who runs Amsterdam Dog very well. She runs this whole operation for no pay and at her own expense. Listening to her stories and getting to know her I am in awe of her character and spirit.

 Recently, I found out that Deborah has paid, from her own pocket over $2,400 in medical bills for dogs from Hurricane Sandy. I know she doesn’t have the means to do this and is struggling to make this work.

 I would really, really love to help Deborah this Holiday Season. If we could all chip in and help AmsterDog pay for these medical bills, I know it would mean the world to Deborah and the dogs!

 I am trying to raise $2,400 dollars to give Deborah the best gift she has ever had. If you could find it in your heart to donate I would be ever so grateful. AmsterDog is a 501c3 non-profit charity, if that is important to you.
