Campaign Story
Pickles the Pit Bull was pulled from the Harnett County pound in NC to go to a forever home. After being pulled, she entered my home as a 4 day foster waiting for transport. On the night of day 2 of this foster stay, her adopter broke their commitment, abandoning this dog in my care. My options were to take her back to the pound & face possible euthanasia, or find an adopter for her myself while she is safe in my house. I am opting to adopt her out myself. Having just spent over $1,000 on medical bills on my own special needs dog(I can show receipts), I am not in a position to be taking on more vet bills- i need help.
I am trying to raise $145 which covers a $95 spay, $20 microchip, $20 heartworm test, and after surgery pain meds that run apprx. $10. Any amount over the $145, should that happen, will go to her food, new toys, and a harness so she wont strangle herself while on walks(she pulls).
I cannot in good consciousness adopt out a dog that may potentially have puppies and contribute to the pet over population epidemic. I also want her chipped so should anything happen in the future she wont be stuck in a pound again. Please help Pickles start a new, happy chapter in her life after living one of homelessness in a pound followed by abandonment.
Ruff ruff!! (she says thank you)
